Adam Chernitsky
Full-Stack Software Engineer
I’m a graduate of Flatiron School, where I discovered my passion for software engineering. Before attending Flatiron, I had zero experience in coding—but in just 15 weeks, I learned multiple languages and frameworks, including Ruby, JavaScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and Node. Through building projects and tackling coding challenges, I found what I love most about web development: solving problems, debugging, and bringing ideas to life through code. Before transitioning into tech, I worked in hands-on roles as a package handler for FedEx Ground and a soda technician for Denver Beverage. Those experiences taught me the value of perseverance and hard work—but I wanted a career that challenged my creativity and logic. Software engineering gave me exactly that: an opportunity to think critically, build creatively, and never stop learning. After graduating, I joined BillGO, where I spent five years growing from Integration Engineer to Software Engineer I. The experience deepened my technical skills, reinforced my passion for development, and confirmed that I made the right choice in pursuing this career.

My Projects
Here are some of the projects I've worked on. Each one represents a unique challenge and a learning opportunity.

This website is the beginnings of a social media website. I built this websites frontend in react and the backend in node.

This was my mod four project that I built in React with a backend in Ruby on Rails. I made this app because of my love for dogs.

This was a group project that my partner and I did in our second mod at Flatiron. It's website where you can view cards of some of the worlds most revered scientists and trade them amongst other users.
